Jess and Max's love story began in an unexpected place: the gym at UCLA. Surprisingly, Jess, who rarely hits the gym, found herself there one day and caught a glimpse of Max, who was working out with her sorority sister’s boyfriend (and Max's roommate). They both immediately caught each other’s eye and asked about one another! Jessica's sorority sister and boyfriend then set them up for a sorority date party, and from that moment on, they talked every day since.

Their first date took place at Kazunori in Westwood, marking the beginning of their incredible journey together. At the time, Max had just graduated UCLA early and was starting his career, while Jess was still a junior in college. Despite his corporate responsibilities, Max made sure to attend all of Jess's date parties, often picking her up from Thursday nights out at Roccos (the local bar) in his business attire after a long day at work. Max has a knack for making Jess laugh like no one else, and their bond has only grown stronger over the past seven years.

Together, they’ve shared countless adventures, from tropical getaways in Aruba and Mexico, to hiking trips and lively concerts with friends. Jess, a Southern California girl, couldn’t be happier that Max, the Midwestern boy from the Windy City Chicago, decided to stay in California to continue their love story here together.

Then came the unforgettable proposal. Ever since Jess was a little girl, she had dreamt of a proposal written in the sky, something everyone thought was a bit crazy. On December 16, 2023, Max took Jess to Point Dume in Malibu, and while they were overlooking the breathtaking ocean, a plane flew by with a banner reading, “Jessica, will you marry me?” As Jess turned in shock, she found Max down on one knee, holding her future in his hands. It was the most romantic gesture she could have ever imagined.

The surprises didn’t stop there, Jess turned around to find her entire family was hiding nearby to celebrate the moment, and Max had even coordinated with them to capture the day with a hidden photographer. Afterward, they all enjoyed a lovely lunch together, marking one of the best days of Jess's life. The couple continues to fall more in love every day. With hearts full of love and excitement, Jess and Max are ready to embark on this new chapter together!
